About Dr. Simopoulos

Dr. Alexander Simopoulos is the new associate to join Dr. Matlock and the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of Los Angeles. Dr. Simopoulos was invited to join the Institute following a nationwide search by Dr. Matlock for the individual best qualified to further advance the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute into the future. A specialist in gynecologic surgery, Dr. Simopoulos completed his training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland as an Obstetrician Gynecologist. Dr. Simopoulos received extensive surgical and medical training from among the most renowned physicians in the entire world. Johns Hopkins Hospital is currently the #1 ranked hospital nationally for the sixteenth consecutive year by US News & World Report. In addition, the Gynecology department at Johns Hopkins for which Dr. Simopoulos served as a Chief Resident is also the #1 ranked program nationally.

Many of the most important advances and pioneering discoveries in the field of Gynecology were from physicians at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Simopoulos will strive to use his top notch surgical and research training for the full benefit of his new patients in Los Angeles.

Dr. Simopoulos received his medical degree from the University of Virginia, a top 25 nationally ranked medical school program and is also a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University in Washington D.C. with a Bachelor of Science in biology. While at Georgetown, Dr. Simopoulos was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
